Tutoring (reading) Registration

Grades K-3 Registration

I give permission for my elementary student to participate in tutoring at Open Arms. I understand that the group will meet each Tuesday from 5:30-7:00 pm during the school year. I understand that my student needs to bring any homework and electronic device (iPad, Chromebook, etc.) with them to tutoring each week, but the main focus will be on reading skills.

I give permission for my older elementary student to participate in Kids Club at Open Arms. I understand that the group will meet each Tuesday from 5:30-7:00 pm during the school year. I understand that this is not traditional tutoring and that instead my student will be learning social and emotional skills as well as doing other enrichment activities. If my student has homework, they may bring it and ask for help.

Youth Group Registration

Grades 6-12 Registration

Your youth (middle or high school student) has been invited to participate in the Open Arms Community Center Youth Group. The group will typically meet every Saturday, 12-2pm, year-round. Meetings will include lunch, discussion of a topic from the Bible, and an activity relevant to the youth in the group. Activities will be varied from art, science, and culture to life skills and how to solve conflict.

I give permission for my adolescent to participate in the Open Arms Youth Group. I understand that the group will meet weekly on Saturdays at noon, unless they are doing a special activity. If they are doing a special activity, I understand that I will be notified ahead of time and an additional permission slip may be required.

I understand that the group may discuss the Bible as well as topics related to life skills and challenges related to growing up in today’s world. If at any time I do not want my adolescent to be part of the discussion, I will notify Open Arms Community Center and my adolescent will not attend the group on that day.
